There are so many elements to planning a wedding, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. With that in mind, this guide will talk you through what to expect at your bridal hair preview. Ensuring you get the most out of your appointment and that this part of the planning process is enjoyable.

On the day of your trial we will explore your wedding plans, the ins and outs of how you like to wear your hair, any major changes with your current style & colour, hair health, and of course, what your dream wedding hair looks like. I am all ears!

HAIR EXTENSIONS
The use of hair extensions can complement and enhance your chosen style, or give your hair the length and thickness required to achieve your look. There is a wide range of options available to suit each individual lifestyle & needs.
HOME HAIR CARE ROUTINE
This is a major influencer on the health of your hair and how your hair will retain curl & volume. We will break down your hair care routine and can implement any changes needed to help you reach your hair goals.
COLOUR & STYLE
Your chosen style will look different depending on the colour & length of your hair. If you are working towards your ultimate colour, give yourself ample time to achieve this, and to test how you’r colour wears & photographs. If you are happy with your current style & colour, I may recommend making small changes to enhance your chosen style. Such as, more layers around the face to add body or a fresh haircut before the wedding day so your ends are clean & full.
Styling
Now for the fun part! Let’s explore your inspo photos and create your bespoke hair style. After we have finished we will take lots of photos and videos for you to look back on. This way we can reference these images to make any adjustments on the big day!
TIPS
01 | timing
I always recommend having your preview after you have chosen your dress or a few months out from your wedding day. This will give you a clear vision of how everything looks together and allow time if you decide to explore alternative options.
02 | Dress the part
The way you are dressed for your hair trial can be very helpful. If you have something with a similar neckline/ colour to your wedding dress that's a great option! What you wear can give you a better visual of how you will look on your big day.
03 | Clean hair styles best
Come with freshly washed, blow waved hair. This will ensure we are making the most of your appointment time and give us a clean canvas to work on. Allowing me to select the correct styling products to suit your needs.
04 | Visuals
Create an album of inspo photos! Try and choose photos that have the same colour hair as you, as all hair colours style very differently. It is also helpful to bring photos of the front and back of styles you like. Do you want a heavier statement face frame or just a few loose pieces waved? Volume through the front or all of your hair pulled back? Bring along photos of your dress, florals, accessories ect for aesthetic reference. This will help me visualise the vibe and aesthetic you are wanting to achieve for the day.
05 | Accessories
If you have any hair accessories you want to use or a veil and earrings bring them along so we can incorporate them. If you are on the fence with some items we can take plenty of photos, with and without for you to reference.
06 | Weather
Consider the weather at the time of year you are getting married when choosing your hairstyle. The season your wedding is in, will be a significant factor on how hair will retain curl.
07 | Personality
Choose a style that feels authentic to you and makes you feel your best! This isn’t the day to wear a sleek bun if you don't feel comfortable or ever wear your hair off your face. I’m here to help guide you and enhance your style from your everyday look.
